South Korea take-home pay estimator.
Compare the same salary across 2026 and 2027. A take-home range appears only when all required rates have been checked; it is not your payslip.
Before any deductions, excluding allowances below. Paste figures like 2,300,000 or 2.3m.
Up to ₩200,000 a month can be tax-free when your contract labels it as a meal allowance.
Enrolment depends on your visa, nationality, contract and employer. Your contract or HR team can confirm it. Some nationalities are exempt from National Pension or get it refunded under social-security agreements. E-2 teachers are often not in employment insurance. Not every expat has the same deductions.
Assumptions & sources.
- This is a simplified annual model, not the official withholding table (간이세액표). It assumes one earner, no dependants, only the basic and standard deductions, and no special exemptions such as the foreign-worker flat rate, a tax treaty or the SME youth reduction.
- Freelance or 3.3% withholding contracts are not modelled. Part-year arrivals and year-end settlement (연말정산) will change the final tax.
- Results are rounded to a ₩10,000 range. Your payslip is the authority.
- 2026 rates: National Pension 4.75% employee share (cap ₩6,590,000, July 2026 – June 2027); health insurance 3.595% plus long-term care; employment insurance 0.9%; NTS income-tax brackets; local tax 10% of income tax. Checked 2026-10-29.
- 2027 confirmed rates: NPS reform schedule increases the total pension contribution to 10%, split equally: 5% employee share. The Ministry of Health and Welfare’s 8 September 2026 decision keeps health insurance at 7.19% total, or 3.595% employee share. Checked 2026-10-29.
- Published pension limits cover July 2026–June 2027, not the whole of 2027. A full 2027 estimate and net-pay difference stay unavailable until all required rates and tax rules are verified.
